How we work: COLLABORATION
We are an Interdisciplinary Platform for Healthy Communities
Farming is also ‘just’ a business whose widget happens to be ‘food’. A farmer can do everything right and still fail. We teach not only the technical components of managing a growing operation, but all of the other necessary skills commonly found in any successful enterprise. Currently there is a demand of 20,000 unfilled ag-tech jobs (USDA/Purdue University) with this year the Ag-tech industry is considered one of the top 10 tech jobs of the future (Fast Company). It is also a vehicle to offset unstable migratory farm labor population.
